InphoniteVoice Feature of the Week
Outbound Rules allow you to determine the parameters of message
delivery via InphoniteVoice,
including:
- What - The content of the message being delivered
- Who - The recipient of the message
- When - The window of time when messages may be delivered
- Where - The method used to deliver the message - phone, email,
SMS text or Twitter.
Many of our clients send appointment reminders one or two days
in advance. Most, however, prefer not to send messages over the
weekend. This can be handled easily using multiple Outbound
Rules.
For example, let's say you schedule appointments Monday through
Friday, your preference is for your customers to receive
appointment reminders two days in advance, but you don't want to
send appointments reminder calls on Saturday or Sunday. In this
scenario, you would create one Outbound Rule for appointments on
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday that would call two days in
advance. For appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays, you would create
a second Outbound Rule that would call four days in advance (on
Thursdays and Fridays, respectively).
