This End-of-Life Policy outlines the process employed by
Inphonite for the removal of an Inphonite product, version, or
supported platform from the commercial market and, eventually, to
end its service life.
This End-of-Life Policy is effective as of October 1,
2007 and applies to announcements made on or after this
date.

- End of Sale Date (EOS):
The last date to order and ship the product/version. The product
is no longer offered for sale and Inphonite ceases to ship a
specific version of a software product as indicated in the EOL
announcement issued by Inphonite. This EOS is three months after
the release of a new version of the product.
- End of Life (EOL):
A process that guides the final business operations associated
with the product life cycle. The end-of-life process consists of a
series of technical and business milestones and activities that,
once completed, make a product obsolete. Once obsolete, the product
is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained, or
supported.
- End of Service Life (EOSL) Date:
The date Inphonite ceases to provide services for a Software
Product under a maintenance contract or per incident request. This
date is one year following the EOL announcement.
This policy is intended as a "guideline," as Inphonite reserves
the right to treat each product line independently or agree to new
or different terms with individual parties. Inphonite also reserves
the right to change this policy at any time without notice. The
general policy guidelines for an End of Life (EOL) are as
follows:
- Inphonite will provide notice on its website of the affected
product's EOL date, EOS date and EOSL date. Attempts will be made
by Inphonite to email customers to make them aware of this
change.
- A notice of support discontinuance (End of Service) will be
published for a product at least twelve months prior to the
effective EOSL date.
- The EOS is three months after the release of a new version of
the current product. After the three months, Inphonite will then
cease to sell and ship the older version. Customers will be made
aware of this change. Any further outstanding quotes and orders
will be handled on an individual basis.
- Inphonite may also make support extensions available for an
additional fee, and for a period of time determined by company,
following the product's effective support discontinuance date.
Support extensions may be granted to allow completion of successful
migration to the current release.
- Inphonite may provide a discounted rate to those who upgrade
within defined sales periods referred to in End Of Life
Announcement.
- Customers who hold current maintenance contracts will maintain
that period of support with the purchase of newer products.
- Customers who have maintenance who choose not to upgrade will
have their current product version supported until their support
contract expires, or one year after the EOL announcement. Beyond
this date, Inphonite will no longer support customers who use the
EOL product.
- Existing Customers who do not have current maintenance
contracts and own the version of the product that is going through
the EOL process can purchase the latest product at the full license
or defined sales period price.
- Maintenance Plans are only available for current products and
may be purchased at any time. Two months of support are provided at
no charge when a new product is purchased. Further support may be
purchased at a separate cost.
