Getting Them Back: Using recalls to bring back long lost customers

According to the more than 58 million pounds of chocolate sold every year, February is the month of love. The month, and one date in particular is often spent trying to impress our friends and loved ones with the idea that we love and care about them. We send cheesy cards, buy flowers and gifts, and call at strange hours to make sure they know we are thinking about them. At Inphonite, we think, “Why not let this idea leak into the professional world?” Maybe sending flowers and gifts to your co-workers is a little odd, and we don’t recommend calling anyone at strange hours, but we do believe in showing our customers we care and helping you show your customers that you care. It’s as easy as just sending them an email or phone call. It doesn’t matter who you are, it’s always nice to be cared about.  

How many patients have you had come into your office once and never heard from or seen them again? I’m guessing it’s been quite a few. More than likely they are going to your competition, or not getting the help they need at all. What if I told you we could get some of those people back through your doors and away from your competition?

Well, great news! There is a way, and it is quite simple.    

Using an automated messaging system to send notes and reminders to patients that have not visited in a while is easy. Just determine who you want to contact and send them an email, text or phone call letting them know you want to check in with them, or prompt them to make an appointment. You can also use the opportunity to remind them of seasonal allergies, current vaccines and other trends in healthcare.  Chances are if they are reminded and really feel like you care, they will come back to you. Just a quick little, “Hello, we’ve missed you” can go a long way in bringing back business.

We encourage you this Valentine’s Day, when you’re thinking about picking out roses for your lady, or a card for your man, to remember your long lost customers. Think about what you will say to them to get them back. Recall that they are people with feelings, just like you or that special someone in your life.
