Don’t forget to email a copy of your intake paperwork to that explicitly states where patients are opting-in for messages. (This is required to get verified–even if it’s just screenshots of your online intake forms!)

What happens if I don’t complete phone number verification?

If you choose to not complete this, you are rolling the dice and there is a very high chance messages will not all be delivered. Instead, they will be blocked by your customers’ carriers.

What does it mean to have a verified toll-free number?

Verification confirms to all Telecom carriers and the FCC who the phone number(s) is(are) being used by, and for what purpose(s). (Basically, that you aren’t a spammer) The benefits of having your number verified is that text traffic will not be filtered meaning there is a higher chance your clients will receive a notification. If Toll-Free Message Verification is not enabled by the deadline, there is a real possibility that your messages will not be delivered.

How does verification impact my Inphonite Service?

Becoming verified will reduce issues with text message deliverability and reduce the likelihood of having the phone number blocked. Also, if it is blocked for any reason, it will increase the response time to get the number unblocked or provide a new number, if necessary. It does NOT however, mean whitelisted as that currently does not exist for text phone numbers.

How long does verification take and when must it be done by?

After receiving your response and a copy of your explicit consent documentation, Inphonite promises to submit the information as quickly as possible. It could take an additional 10 business days for final verification. For current customers, this mandate begins as of August 1st.

What do I need to have on my form?

Please complete all fields in order to have your number verified quickly and without issue.
Legal Company Name
Organization Type
HQ Address
Purpose of your messages
How you collect your opt-in
Note: We are only asking for the absolute minimum. The rest of the information we have in our records. We will review each customer response and submit everything for you.

What is an opt-in?

An opt-in is a form of consent given by patients/customers, authorizing a third party to contact them. This is often a simple clause in your Notice of Privacy Practices on your Intake paperwork that your patients/customers sign at their first appointment. Some examples are, “I agree to allow [your business name] to send me automated text messages to the number I have provided for [reason/s]. [signature/initial]

What if I don't collect opt-ins?

This is the most important part! If you do not collect opt-ins, now is the time to start. Your verification will be declined by the regulatory authorities without this. You may need to edit your intake documents in order to continue sending text messages. We encourage you to speak with legal counsel. Many customers have simple clauses on intake forms stating, “I agree to allow [your business name] to send me automated text messages to the number I have provided for [reason/s]. [signature/initial]

Are there any refunds if the result shows text spam/undeliverable?

No. If you are not verified, there will be no refunds for any messages.
