InphoniteVoice Feature of the Week: Holiday Handling

Holidays can sometimes pose a problem when you’re using an automated reminder system. Do you have to change the number of days to call ahead of your appointments in order to accommodate for the holiday? And then remember to change it back after the holiday? If you have had to do this in the past, I have some good news for you.

One of the features of InphoniteVoice is the ability to setup what we call “Rule Exceptions”. As you may be aware, rules control the number of days ahead of the appointment that the system will call. A rule exception, then, is a way to tell InphoniteVoice to handle things a little differently. In other words, on a date you specify, you can instruct InphoniteVoice to call on a day other than the day it would typically call on. It’s an exception to the rule.

The nice thing is, you simply create the exception, and InphoniteVoice will alter how the rule works on that particular day. You need not change anything else.
